Introducing the New XXL Size

We are pleased to announce that we have added XXL to our kimono aloha shirt size lineup. With this addition, our lineup now includes five sizes—S, M, L, XL, and XXL—allowing even more customers to enjoy our kimono aloha shirts.
Why Did We Add the XXL Size?
KIMONO-CYCLE's aloha shirts are very popular with customers overseas—especially in the United States. We've received numerous requests asking, "Do you have this in a size larger?"
However, making large sizes was no easy task.
Our aloha shirts are made from vintage pure silk kimonos. Since the width of a kimono bolt is standardized at approximately 36 to 40 cm, crafting a single shirt requires carefully cutting the fabric from this limited supply while paying close attention to the pattern flow. The larger the size, the more fabric is needed, and the more challenging it becomes to match the patterns.
After much trial and error and by refining our fabric cutting techniques, we are finally able to offer XXL sizes.
About Sizes
XXL has a chest circumference of 132 cm (approx. 52 inches). With its loose, relaxed fit, it’s recommended not only for those with a larger build but also for anyone who wants to rock an oversized look.
You can find detailed measurements for each size (length, chest circumference, shoulder width, etc.) on the size chart page below. The chart also allows you to switch between cm and inches.
Tips for Choosing the Right Size
- For those who prefer a true-to-size fit: Please choose based on the chest and shoulder measurements of the shirts you usually wear.
- For those who prefer a loose fit: Choose one size larger for that relaxed, classic aloha shirt look.
- Aloha shirts are meant to be worn loosely, allowing the breeze to pass through. If you're unsure, we recommend choosing a larger size.
