About care
Every piece we make uses pure silk (100% silk), but the fabric is generally not new, so there may be light staining, some uneven fading and small scratches in keeping with its age. We hope you will enjoy these as part of the original, vintage character of the piece.
The fabric is delicate, so please consult a specialist cleaner. We generally recommend dry cleaning.
We do not really recommend it. If you must, please wash gently by hand. Note that the fabric will shrink by nature, so please do so at your own risk.
About upcycling
The questions below cover upcycling and recycling of kimono.
We can make a garment to order provided it is one of our standard sizes: men's M, L, XL, XXL, or women's M, L.
The charge is ¥36,300 (tax included) per garment, covering unpicking and washing (arai-hari), cutting, and tailoring.
Please note that once the kimono has been cut it cannot be returned to its original form. Pattern matching is also left to us as a rule.
Turnaround is roughly 2-3 weeks from the day your kimono reaches us. Payment is required in advance.

About shipping
The questions below cover shipping from our shop.

Free shipping on orders of ¥11,000 or more.
A flat rate of ¥770 applies to orders under ¥11,000.

For orders shipped to the United States, duties and import taxes are calculated automatically at checkout and paid in advance together with the price of the goods.
You therefore do not need to pay anything extra when you receive your parcel (DDP terms).
For orders shipped to other countries, duties and import taxes may be invoiced on arrival and are the customer's responsibility (DAP terms).
Within Japan we mainly use Yamato Transport; overseas we ship by Japan Post EMS, UGX, or FedEx.
Orders are dispatched within 5 days of purchase, so delivery takes roughly 1-2 days within Japan and 5-10 days overseas.
About payment
