About KIMONO-CYCLE

Our company is based on a "costume rental and specialty store" that has been in operation for over 50 years in Tsuruoka City, Yamagata Prefecture, a city known for its silk.

We provide "Kimono" rental services for once-in-a-lifetime anniversaries such as weddings, coming-of-age ceremonies, and Shichigosan (the seven-five-three-three festival).

 

However, when new products arrive in the market, past products inevitably lose attention and are affected by trends and other factors.

Until now, all items that were no longer in demand as rentals were "discarded," but somewhere in the back of my mind I always felt that it was a waste or that the items could still be worn.

 

WE WANT TO SHOW THE "KIMONO CULTURE" THAT JAPAN IS PROUD OF TO THE WORLD ONCE AGAIN TO THE "KIMONO" THAT MAY HAVE FINISHED ITS ROLE AS A "KIMONO" IN ORDER TO KEEP THE "KIMONO CULTURE" ALIVE. WE ARE MANUFACTURING AND SELLING "KIMONO ALOHA", "KIMONO HATS AND CAPS", "KIMONO BAGS", ETC. BY RECYCLING KIMONO, HAKAMA, OBI, ETC. REVIVED

 

ALL ITEMS SOLD AT KIMONO-CYCLE ARE ONE OF A KIND.

All of the fabric used is pure silk (100% silk); however, since it is not new, there may be some fading or scuffs.

We would be delighted if you could enjoy the “vintage feel” and “authentic charm” that this brings.

 We hope to promote new “values” to ensure that Japan’s “kimono culture”—a source of national pride—is preserved for generations to come.
